About the role
- The Campus Security Manager (CSM) is based in Pune and is responsible for leading physical security operations across multiple datacenter sites in Pune, Jamnagar, Nagpur, and Mumbai. Reporting to the Regional Security Manager (RSM), the CSM provides operational and people leadership to Site Security Managers and security personnel across the assigned locations, ensuring the delivery of safe, secure, compliant, and high-performing security operations.
- The CSM is responsible for developing and leading people, building effective teams, and driving consistent operational standards across all assigned sites. The role partners closely with Security and Datacenter Operations leadership, client stakeholders, and internal Securitas teams to support operational effectiveness, superior performance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.
- The CSM will work closely with other campus and site security leaders across the region to promote consistency across the security program. The role requires regular travel between the assigned sites in Pune, Jamnagar, Nagpur, and Mumbai to maintain operational visibility, engage with site teams, support client relationships, and ensure consistent execution of the security program.
- The role requires a strong balance of people leadership, operational accountability, client service, strategic planning, and hands-on engagement across multiple locations.
What you’ll do
- In this role, the Campus Security Manager provides leadership and oversight of physical security operations across multiple datacenter sites located in Pune, Jamnagar, Nagpur, and Mumbai. You will lead and develop Site Security Managers and security personnel, build high-performing teams, and ensure security operations are delivered consistently and effectively across all assigned locations.
- You will maintain regular engagement with each assigned site and travel between Pune, Jamnagar, Nagpur, and Mumbai as required to provide operational oversight, support site teams, assess performance, address issues, and ensure alignment with security standards and client expectations.
- You will actively manage and develop security personnel by partnering with the local branch on recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development. This includes setting clear expectations, coaching and mentoring employees, supporting performance management, and carrying out corrective or disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy. You will ensure employees are treated with dignity and respect while creating an environment that supports engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
- You will work closely with site and regional leadership to establish priorities, assign and manage security projects and operational tasks, and ensure work is completed effectively and on time. You will evaluate the effectiveness of security operations across assigned locations, identify risks and opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies that enhance team performance and service delivery.
- Safety is a key responsibility of the role. You will drive safety programming across the security team, promote safe work practices, and support a culture focused on achieving zero workplace injuries across assigned sites.
- You will monitor site health and key performance indicators across the portfolio, working with the Regional Security Manager to address performance gaps and improve overall security team effectiveness. You will maintain visibility of major accomplishments, issues, risks, and concerns across assigned locations and escalate significant matters as appropriate.
- The CSM serves as a key client-facing leader and regularly meets with client representatives and Securitas corporate management to review account performance, address issues, and support security planning, assessments, surveys, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the assigned locations and use clear, professional communication to support a safe and secure environment.
- You will also support audit readiness and compliance activities, including following standardised procedures for unannounced audits and ensuring assigned sites are prepared to meet applicable operational and security requirements.
- This position requires regular travel between assigned sites in Pune, Jamnagar, Nagpur, and Mumbai. Travel requirements will vary based on business and operational needs and may require travel at short notice to support operational priorities, critical incidents, site activities, or other business requirements. Additional duties may be assigned or responsibilities modified according to business needs.
What you need to apply
- To apply for this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the security industry and 3+ years of management experience. An associate degree in Security Management, Business Management, or a related field is required. Experience working in a datacenter or critical infrastructure environment is strongly preferred.
- You should have strong knowledge of security operations and procedures applicable to a 24-hour facility, as well as practical knowledge of supervisory practices, business operations management, and human resources administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is expected, as reporting, documentation, operational tracking, and communication are important parts of the role. Working knowledge and experience with security technologies such as CCTV, access control systems, incident management software, and video surveillance platforms is preferred.
- This position is best suited for an experienced people leader who can effectively balance operational leadership, employee development, client-facing responsibilities, administrative accountability, and the demands of managing security operations across multiple locations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. You should be able to communicate clearly and concisely with varied audiences, including explaining technical or operational concepts, preparing clear written materials, conducting presentations, and facilitating meetings both in person and online.
- You should demonstrate strong planning, organisation, delegation, problem-solving, coaching, and performance management skills, along with the ability to motivate teams, manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and maintain professional composure during unusual, stressful, or high-pressure situations.
- Applicants must also be able to meet and continue to meet applicable licensing requirements for security officers, as well as any specific skills, certifications, or authorisations required for the assigned account.
- A bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Management, or a related field, as well as security industry qualifications or certifications such as CPP or PSP, are preferred.

Required Skill sets
