Cookie Policy
Securitas uses cookies on the website [www.securitas.in] in order to enhance your experience, but not all cookies, or similar technologies, are necessary for the website to function.
This Cookie Policy explains how Walsons Services Private Limited operating in India under the Securitas brand ("Securitas -India ) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, including on the chatbot made available on this website.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more fully how we process your personal data and the rights available to you as a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act").
What cookies and similar technologies are?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website operator.
This website also uses technologies that work in a similar way to cookies but store information differently. It is important that you are aware of these, because they are not always removed when you delete cookies:
Session storage and local storage: information held by your browser for the duration of a browsing session, or until it is cleared. Session storage is deleted when you close the browser tab.
Cache-based identifiers, including eTag headers: identifiers stored in your browser's cache rather than as a cookie. These allow your browser to be recognised across pages and visits. Deleting your cookies does NOT remove them. They are removed only when you clear your browser cache.
In this Cookie Policy, references to cookies include all of these technologies unless we say otherwise.
Your Consent
When you first visit this website you are shown a consent banner with tick-box option. Other than the entries classified as Strictly Necessary, no cookie or similar technology is set on your device until you have given your consent through that banner. Consent is sought for each category separately, and you are not required to accept any category in order to browse this website.
Under the DPDP Act your consent must be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, and given by a clear affirmative action. It must also be as easy to withdraw as it is to give. You may change or withdraw your consent at any time by using the cookie settings link available on this website, and by following the additional steps described in Section 6 in respect of cache-based identifiers.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before you withdrew it. If you withdraw consent, the chatbot and certain features of this website may no longer be available to you or may not function as intended.

Personal data and who receives it
Several of the entries listed above contain a unique identifier assigned to your browser. These are ai_user, _ga, _ga_[PROPERTY ID], VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC, ld_id and the eTag header. Each such identifier is personal data, because it can be used to identify the device you are using. The remaining entries do not by themselves identify you, but where they are used alongside those identifiers we treat the resulting information as personal data as well.
The information generated by these entries is transmitted to the providers named in the tables above, which are:
Leadoo Marketing Technologies, which supplies the chatbot; Google, which supplies Google Analytics and the embedded YouTube player; Microsoft, which supplies the hosting infrastructure and Application Insights telemetry; and OneTrust, which supplies the consent management platform.
Each of these providers acts as our Data Processor and processes the information only on our documented instructions and under a written contract that imposes obligations of confidentiality, security and deletion. We do not sell the information generated by cookies, and we do not permit our providers to use it for their own purposes.
Certain of these providers are established outside India, and the information may therefore be transferred to and processed in a country outside India. We make such transfers in accordance with Section 16 of the DPDP Act, which permits transfer other than to a country or territory restricted by the Central Government by notification.
How to manage or delete cookies
6.1 Through this website
Use the cookie settings link available on this website to review your choices and to grant or withdraw consent for each category at any time.
6.2 Through your browser
Most browsers allow you to view the cookies stored on your device, to delete them, and to block cookies from being set. These controls are usually found under the privacy or security settings of your browser. Blocking cookies may affect the functioning of this and other websites.
6.3 Clearing cache-based identifiers
As explained in Section 1, some of the identifiers used on this website are stored in your browser's cache and are not removed when you delete cookies. To remove them, you must clear your browser's cache, which is a separate option in the same browser settings menu. If you withdraw your consent but do not clear your cache, the identifier already stored may remain on your device until the cache is cleared.
Children
This website and the chatbot are intended for adults acting in a business or professional capacity and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly use cookies or similar technologies to track children or to direct advertising at children, as required by Section 9 of the DPDP Act.
Changes to this cookie policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the cookies used on this website change or when the law requires it. The current version is always published on this website, with the date of the most recent update shown at the top. Where a change requires it, we will seek your consent afresh through the consent banner.
